Episode 5 Baltimore

Baltimore is a city that has been in headlines lately but for all of the wrong reasons. From an ongoing heroin epidemic, urban blight, the Freddy Grey riots to the Twitter war between President Trump and the late Elijah Cummings it seemed that Baltimore was lost forever. But after my visit I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing local cuisine, history and the neighborhood of Pigtown. The hospitality and willingness of the locals to engage and to show me the good aspects of Baltimore blew me away. It was here that I met Candice Bruno, the owner of Old Major. She proposed the idea of having me return to Baltimore to premiere my episode at her venue when it was completed. I can’t thank her enough and I feel that I have a home away from home in Baltimore.

Here are my stops in Baltimore

After filming I spend my Sunday night watching the Baltimore Ravens vs the New England Patriots at Turps Sports Bar. Great staff and menu and I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately I didn’t bring my camera there or else they definitely would have been in the episode.

On my return visit to premiere the episode at Old Major I stopped by these 3 additional places, they’re not in the episode but they both definitely deserve an honorable mention.
