Episode 4 New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward

The whole country watched in horror when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. The Lower Ninth Ward was affected the most, mainstream media portrayed it as gang ridden slum with constant lootings. The media never reported that it had the highest rate of black home ownership in all of New Orleans. I explore the neighborhood and discover its rich history, music and culture.
